How does it connect — PC or TV?
How does it connect — PC or TV?
You'll need a Windows/Linux PC or Raspberry Pi to run it. Mount the sensors on your TV or projector, slot in the 1TB game card, and you're good to go. Keep in mind — this isn't a plug-and-play console, it requires a computer to operate.
Is it compatible with PS5, Xbox, or Steam Deck?
Is it compatible with PS5, Xbox, or Steam Deck?
No. Our gun only works with Windows, Linux and Android OS. While it works perfectly on Steam Deck (in Desktop Mode), it is not compatible with PS5 or Xbox as these consoles do not support the external lightgun drivers required for our system.
Will it work on a modern flatscreen or projector?
Will it work on a modern flatscreen or projector?
100% yes. Our IR-based tech leaves old CRT limitations behind — it's fully compatible with LED, OLED, 4K displays, and projectors up to 150 inches. Screen size is no issue.
Can two players go head-to-head?
Can two players go head-to-head?

Display Compatibility Breakdown
The RetroPistol™ uses an onboard camera to lock onto its 4 IR sensors, so the gun itself isn't tied to any particular screen size.
That said, since the IR sensors run on USB cables, the setup tops out at around 100 inches (diagonal) for maximum display size.
For the smoothest, most responsive experience, a screen somewhere between 33" and 55" hits the sweet spot — and most of the demo footage you'll find on our page was filmed on a 55" TV.
One thing worth knowing: the bigger your screen, the further back you can stand while playing.
As for distances — the minimum range is how close you can get before tracking drops off, while the optimal range is where you'll want to position yourself for the best accuracy.
